TRIBUTE PAGE

This page is dedicated to all those who are no longer by our sides but forever in our hearts and walk alongside us everyday. Much loved and forever missed.

Faye Turner

13 Apr 1975 – 2 Nov 2017

I would like to dedicate the 116th marathon taking place in York on the 19th October 2021, this marathon is in memory of my late wife Mrs Faye Turner of York who sadly passed away from cancer after an 8 month battle on the 2nd November 2017.

RIP Faye
Gone but never forgotten
Catherine Hodgson

27 Sept 1944 – 16 Mar 2018

I would like to dedicate the 114th marathon taking place in Durham on the 17th October 2021. Catherine Hodgson aged 73 sadly lost her battle to cancer on March 16th 2018 after a 7 month battle. The Queen of the family is ever so missed.  She left behind her ‘Don’, 6 children, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grand children and 1 great great grandson she never got to meet.

Always loved and never forgotten. Xxx

Nancy and Rowland Yates

I would like to dedicate the 18th Marathon on the 13th July 2021 to the memory of my lovely  parents Nancy and Rowland Yates. They spent over 50 years together and were always happy to help anyone that needed it, setting a wonderful life lesson. Dad died during Covid 19 restrictions and could not have the send off he deserved. The 13th of July would have been dad’s 90th birthday and I cannot think of a better tribute. Fly high my heroes we miss you both so much  XXXX ❤️

Margaret McGouran

31 Jul 1940 – 22 Jan 2014

We dedicate the 85th marathon on the 18th September 2021 at Craigavon Lakes in honour of Margaret (McGouran) – lost to cancer in 2014. Just as much loved and in our thoughts today as ever.  We miss you in so many ways but feel your presence and support in our hearts. You’ll be with us every step of the way, as you always were! Our brightest star forever. The McGouran family. X

Anne and Laurie Wilson

We would like to dedicate as a family the lives lost of our mam and dad Laurie and Anne Wilson and dedicate the 2nd marathon on 27th June 2021 in West Yorkshire to them. Both lost too early to cancer after short battles in 2014 and 2020. 2 loving caring people who gave so much  to all those who were needy or struggling. We miss them so much but their  presence is always close by. We think of them every day and see reminders in simple joys such as a robin or a song. Love you both. X

Con Larkin

31 Mar 1936 – 28 Mar 2020

We would like to dedicate one of Graham’s marathons to Con Larkin. He was taken suddenly without warning at the beginning of lockdown in March 2020. Husband of Mary, father of 3 and Grandfather of 7.

Always ready with a dry quip, he will always be remembered with a smile by us all!
